On the very wet and cold Sunday morning Wymondham Town U13’s travelled to Blofield, Straight from the kick off Wymondham won the ball and attacked and Jack Newbery scored. Blofield soon equalized to make it 1-1. The rain still driving hard and the pitch started to cut up, Wymondham put the pressure on and persistence from Oli Street in the opposition box forced a penalty with was converted by Jack Newbery. Strong work by Fraser Field, Joe Goreham, Owen Lancaster and AJ Harmer as the back four held a buoyant Blofield who were pushing hard for the equalizer. Sam Palmer made some good saves and good distribution but could not stop Blofield equalizing. The midfield of James Burns Michael Farmer Jack Newbery and Jack Marshall worked tirelessly supporting the front two of Charlie Love and Oli Street. Two quick goals b Blofield made it 4-2, Bradlie Harcourt came on in midfield. A cross from Charlie Love converted by Oli Street 4-3. The second half saw Blofield have the advantage of the slope and the deteriorating weather conditions stretched their lead to 5-3, but Wymondham carried on fighting to the end to bring the score back to 5-4 with Jack Newbery’s looping shot to give him his hat trick. Wymondham maintained the pressure but was unable to find the equalizer.
